Pempek adalah makanan khas Palembang yang terbuat dari ikan tengiri dan sagu. Menurut sejarahnya, pempek telah ada di Palembang sejak masuknya perantau Cina ke Palembang, yaitu di sekitar abad ke-16. Nama empek-empek atau pempek diyakini berasal dari sebutan “apek”, yaitu sebutan untuk lelaki tua keturunan Cina.

Berdasarkan cerita rakyat, seorang apek berusia 65 tahun yang tinggal di daerah Perakitan merasa prihatin menyaksikan tangkapan ikan yang berlimpah di Sungai Musi yang belum seluruhnya dimanfaatkan dengan baik, hanya sebatas digoreng dan dipindang. Are you looking for an original but simple recipe to cook? We propose the fillet of sea bream with orange Ingredients for 2 person: 200 gr. fillet of sea bream 2 oranges 3 tablespoon orange olive oil flour and salt 40 ml white wine Preparation: Cut into thin slices the thickness of one mm the orange part of the peel of the oranges and squeeze the juice. Flour the fish fillets and cook in pan with olive oil flavored with oranges for a few minutes turning with a spatula once. Remove from pan and keep them in an oven preheated to 150 degrees and then turned off. In the skillet where you cooked fish pour the orange juice, white wine and thin peel. Finally pour the resulting sauce over fish fillets, season them with the salt and serve it.
